The Savage Lands of Islam

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia ruled that ten year old girls can be married off, because in his words, "Good upbringing makes a girl ready to perform all marital duties at that age."

The Grand Mufti
The Mufti, who also called for destroying churches in the Arabian Peninsula, is descended from Mohammed Wahhab who gave birth to Wahhabism and whose descendants have controlled the Saudi religious establishment, and through it Islam around the world.

However for all his power and influence, the Mufti is blind and hasn't seen a thing in the last half century years; an apt metaphor for his entire religion.

Saudi Arabia, the heartland of Islam, still tries and executes witches. What sort of religion can come out of a place that marries off ten year old girls and murders old women on charges of witchcraft? The sort that flies planes into skyscrapers, murders teenage girls for using Facebook and bases its entire society on a ladder with Muslim men at the top, Muslim women a few rungs below and everyone else somewhere at the bottom.

The Saudis are not an aberration, they are Islam in its purest and truest form. That is why Al Qaeda was founded by a Saudi and why Saudis, the wealthy citizens of a wealthy kingdom, are its best recruits. It is not poverty or oppression that moves them to kill, but wealth and privilege.

This is where Islam originated, whose brutality and cunning spread it across the world, whose clans killed each other, then killed or enslaved minority groups, and then embarked on a wave of conquest that destroyed countless cultures and left behind the seeds of hate of the wars we are fighting today.

Unlike Egypt or Syria, they were never colonized by European powers and the impact of Ottoman influence was limited. Oil has brought in massive amounts of money, but it has changed very little. There are limousines instead of camels, the slaves have foreign passports, though they are often still slaves, there is still a brisk trade in imported luxury goods, harems for princes and clans staggering under the weight of their indolent progeny.

Religiously, Wahhabism has done its best to recreate the "pure" Islam of its origins. Economically, oil has allowed the Gulf Arabs to prosper without reform or change. And if Mohammed were to ride out of the desert tomorrow, he would have little trouble fitting in, as soon as he developed a taste for Porsches. Anyone who wants to see the world as it was in Mohammed's day can visit Saudi Arabia and see inbred clans, slave labor, veiled women and thugs enforcing the will of Allah on every corner.

But you don't even need to visit Saudi Arabia because diluted forms of it can be found everywhere from Cairo to London and from Islamabad to Los Angeles. A hundred and fifty years after the United States freed its slaves, Muslim immigrants have brought back slavery, importing young girls to live as their slaves. Ninety years after American women won the right to vote, the ghosts of Islam tread the streets in sheets that hide their personhood and mark them as property.

The religious wars of the desert have not stayed there as the immigration Hegira has brought them here and everywhere. And that is the source of the Clash of Civilizations. Immigration has brought Muslims into closer contact with different cultures and religions who don't defer to them or give Islam the privileged status that its adherents are used to enjoying.

To know the truth of this all you have to do is measure the respective tolerance levels of America  against the average Muslim country. There is no comparison with even the more secular Muslim countries, not in law and not in public attitudes. The sole benefit of the Arab Spring has been to expose the fraud of the moderate Muslim country. Egypt's transition to theocracy reminds us that a moderate Muslim state is a completely unrepresentative dictatorship. The alternative is majority Muslim rule.

The endgame of the Arab Spring and the immigration Hegira is to reduce the entire world to the level of Saudi Arabia. And that means eliminating outside influences in a long march to purification.  Islamists know that they cannot enjoy complete cultural dominance over their own people until their rivals in the West are obliterated. To turn Egypt and Malaysia into Saudi Arabia, and to purify Saudi Arabia, the infidels must be brought down, their religions subjugated and their nations replaced with proper Islamic states.

Islamic leaders are under no illusion that religion is a spiritual matter, they know that it is a numbers game. Wage enough wars, terrorize enough nations, marry enough barely post-pubescent girls and use them to crank out an endless supply of babies, intimidate or trick enough infidels into joining up and you win. That was how Islam took over so much territory and spread around the world, that is how it is doing it again now.

Islam is not a spiritual religion, even its paradise is a materialistic place, a fantasy harem where the physical pleasures of life can be enjoyed without restraint. That gives it an advantage over Judaism and Christianity, just as it gives the Saudis and the Pakistanis an advantage over the Americans and Israelis. There is no angst in Islam, no spiritual seeking and no room for doubt. The marching orders are always clear and individual deeds and thoughts matter less than a willingness to always obey.

Islam came out of the desert and it has never left the desert, instead it has brought the desert with it along with its codes, its deep hatreds, its constant deprivation, its deceptiveness and its nomadic expansionism. Where Islam goes, the desert rises, its tents, its red knives and its insecurities. It was backward even at the time of its birth and it has only become more so, but its singlemindedness is an advantage in an age of effete leftectuals and eurocrats dreaming of a transnational world.

While the leftectuals dream of windmills, the Saudis hire foreigners to pump their oil and then sell it to them, the money goes to fund the Hegira, its mosques in every city from Dublin to Moscow to Buenos Aires and Toronto, the fatwas, the bombs, the websites where the masked faithful hold up AK-47's, the Islamic science courses and sessions on learning to love the Hijab and then the Burqa,

The Saudis just want what everyone wants, for everyone to acknowledge their greatness and live like them. They can hardly be blamed for that when the West spends almost as much money promoting democracy and its own way of life to people who still execute witches and blasphemers. They may be savages, but they fell ass backward into enough black gold to fuel a global religious war, and they're using it cleverly and cunningly to transform our societies and wage war against us even while attending dinners at the White House. It's smoother work than our diplomats are capable of.

You can hardly blame the desert bandits for being what they are, but you can blame the apostles of reason for preaching about a golden age of tolerance and enlightenment from every purloined pulpit and then turning away the heartland to a religion that is nakedly brutal and intolerant at home.

An honest look at Saudi Arabia, at its cruelty, its slaves, its intolerance of other religions and even of women, should be enough to tell even the dimmest Eton or Harvard grad exactly what the West is in for. No matter how many specialists in Muslim tolerance show up at universities, there is the Grand Mufti explaining that Mohammed commanded the eradication of Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula, and therefore there can be no churches allowed there.

Even few apologists for Islam will defend Saudi Arabia for the simple reason that it is indefensible. The media will run the occasional story about the House of Saud's commitment to reform, much as Charles Manson keeps committing to becoming a better person, but even they don't really believe it. Yet even though Saudi Arabia is the heartland of Sunni Islam, and its fortunes shape and control mosques and teachings around the world, they insist on treating Islam and Saudi Arabia as two separate things.

It is brutally telling that the two centers of Islam, Saudi Arabia for the Sunnis and Iran for the Shiites, are genuinely horrifying places. Neither can remotely be associated with tolerance or human rights. It is simple common sense that the spread of Islam will make Western countries more like Saudi Arabia and Iran, rather than less like them.

If Saudi Arabia is not an example that we wish to emulate, then why must we bodily incorporate the religion of Mecca and Medina into London and Los Angeles? What other possible outcome do we imagine that there will be but fewer rights and more violence, dead women, abused children, bomb plots and polygamy?

There are two Islams. The real Islam of the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia and an imaginary Islam that exists only in the mosques of air and card table Korans of academics apologists and political pundits who have decided that Islam cannot be bad, because no religion can be bad, not even one which kills and kills, it must just be misunderstood.

But then why not tell the Grand Mufti that he has misunderstood his own religion, the religion that he and his ancestors have dedicated themselves to purifying and reforming back to its roots? Telling him that would be a dangerous thing on his own turf, but it would also be foolish. The Grand Mufti's controversial statements contain nothing that Mohammed had not said.

Can the founder of a religion misunderstand his own teachings?

Islam is savage, intolerant, cruel and expansionistic, not due to a misunderstanding, but an understanding of the worst aspects of human nature. It is what it is and no amount of wishing will make it otherwise.

We have opened the door to the desert and a hot wind blows through into the northern climes. Either we shut the door or get used to living in the Saudi desert.

How do you dare to speak about pure religion in this manner . You are the worst of infidels, unworthy of my time but yet I take the time to enlighten you on the joys of Islam and the beauty it holds. See then my patience and my care for your limitation?
Our aims are not expansionist. Where is the war of aggression we make? No, there is none.
Our women are treated with tenderness and care and have all the rights they are able to handle. We consider the limitations of peoples. Do you not see this?
We are tolerant and understanding of all even as we know your error and transgression. Yet, see how beneficent we remain toward the west and the far east?
Have you come to Saudi Arabia? Do you speak with knowledge? Horrifying is not the word. Cultured and civilized are the real words.
This is simply the words of propaganda against us.
We are the most persecuted of all people on the world.

Your condescension is lost upon an awakening world. Anyone with eyes to see and ears to hear can comprehend the truth - Islam is the religion of Satan, not because others make it so, but because you make it so by your actions in following the words and deeds of your prophet. Women cruelly covered in black in the hot desert sun, decapitations for the most insignificant transgressions, whippings and beatings in retaliation for defying sharia. You may think you're fooling all of us, but we know where the terrorists are coming from - your land, your country, your religion. Be careful what you wish for, my demonic friend. You may get it.

'The Savage Lands of Islam' - a relative served in the Royal Marines in Aden in the early 70s. One evening he and couple of other marines went into a cafe and seeing a stage in the corner waited to see what the entertainment would be. A donkey was tethered on the stage and a small girl was brought out on a trolley and wheeled underneath. There was nothing they could do but leave. The anger and hatred remain to this day.

As a Christian who have lived for ten years in Saudi, I can verify that all Daniel says and much more is true. We discovered a fourth century Christian church near the shore in Al-Hasa, pre-dating Islam. It had three carved stone crosses on one of the walls. It was reported to the government thinking they would preserve it. When we returned several weeks later, the crosses had been removed, a dirt berm bulldozed around it so it couldn't be seen and 6 foot cyclone fences erected around the perimeter. I could talk for hours about the insane, inhuman actions of the Wahhabis. "The Andalusian Age" of islam is a myth.

But Danny, surely you know that it is meat that is tenderized, no? Oops, I forgot that is what imams and moo ham ed thought ....that women were, pieces of meat. Seen many youtubes of imams telling their moo dudes about getting a fresh piece of meat, but better yet, get those 72 pcs of fresh meat on the other side of the moon. As for Mustafa's pathetic, "Our women are treated with tenderness and care and have all the rights they are able to handle. We consider the limitations of peoples. Do you not see this?" I have a question to ask moemoron. Just wth do you mean, 'all the rights they are able to handle" So I take it Mustafa you and your monster men determine the rights a woman can have, while your rights extend to having four wives..and then that isn't enough for you then have your 'temporary marriages', which is code for freebie on a Saturday night with some strange stuff. And you honestly believe there is a god somewhere that goes along with such braindead, moronic ideas. As for your nonsense, 'we are the most persecuted people'..in your wildest wetdreams, I am sure you suffer so....poor baby, here come to momma and let me soothe your savage beast...WHACK. You consider the limitations of people...like women? And what would those limitations be Mustafa? Limiting what body parts that they can keep? Limiting their ability to learn and even surpass the lazy mindsets of men who prefer living in the 7th century. Are those the limitations you want put on women? If so, you should crawl back into a cave and let the women run free, so that you can remain in a fetal position forevermore....just leave the women alone. Praise them for growing up.

Actually Mustafa, I have been there and have seen the good, bad, and other aspects of KSA. Compared to the mullahs in Iran, KSA is probably better. The House of Saud works hard to control what the average Saudi hears, reads, and sees. The only reason the KSA gets away with so much propaganda here is money. The real reason the world jumps through hoops to protect the house of Saud is money lavished on poly-ticks, media, and money grubbing institutions of lofty liberal-leftist learning. Add the lavish contracts for everything from hospitals to helicopters, and now you have the perfect storm of tolerance and defense of everything Western culture supposedly left behind after the collapse of feudalism, the rise of modern science and industry, and the launch of the enlightenment. Believe me, there are more Muslims in general and Saudi's in particular that would leave Islam if they could do it with their head still attached.

Whoever Mustafa is, the lie that there is no war of aggression can be seen on the streets of Paris and Hamburg, London and beyond. This European resident has seen first hand the position of what some want to call moderate Muslims and I know them in fact to be fallen away Muslims that a Salafist would hope to either radicalize or kill. There are no Muslim products for the most part in the consumer world of electronics and machinery, no technological or medical advances, and the completely closed nation of Saudi Arabia will not allow Christian migrant workers even from assembling in their own homes, should they wish to worship. The pretense of tolerance from people like Mustafa is a mask, for their "peace" comes when all submit -- the root of Islam -- to one doctrine. That doctrine is a theocracy which states in London as in Berlin that sharia law should control Western law and ultimately replace it. That is expansionist. That is repressive. That is indeed Islam, and this European will not have it. Period.

I grew up in Astoria, Queens, in New York City. I now see, whenever I visit my family, in the place I was born, an increasing swarm of what I call "Phantom Women" - covered in black from head to toe - and pushing the inevitable baby carriage with two, three, etc kids in tow. These kids are going to grow up, become radicalized, and march through the streets of Astoria in Anti-Israel, anti-American parades whenever Israel dares to defend herself against the savages that want to destroy Israel. I will feel intimidated by the savage masses of Muslims howling for death of Jews and Israel, in my own home neighborhoods.

Can you please tell me why we in the West have to tolerate the presence of you savages, with all of the anti-Western, anti-Democratic, anti-women, anti-Jewish crap that you spew out whenever you have the opportunity, while - God Forbid! - the presence of a single Westerner in any of the hell-holes you call the sacred lands of Islam, brings out howls of rage?

In Islam, it is ALL a one-way street, isn't it, as far as tolerance?

Leadership of such a "holy" and spiritual religion brings riches and power that are envied and fought over. Caliphates die from in-fighting and murder, weakening the empire from within, and I count on it happening with the ISIS power grab too. Ancient internal hatreds always existed, and a history of primitive barbarity prevails from beginning to each end. If they could be fenced-in, they could be counted on to kill themselves off, one way or another. If ISIS becomes a power in the Levant, their Sunni and Shiite Muslim brothers will destroy them, and a "fence" would "bring them closer". History: http://tinyurl.com/7puzrt2

Pro Tip: "1, 2, 3, 4, I declare a thumb war!"... doesn't translate well in the Islamic Middle East. :-)

On a more serious note, Daniel understands Islam's strengths, but not its weaknesses. Science and technology are one, something that remains unchanged from Churchill's era.

The other is, oddly, a lack of future belief, as reflected in Islamic world birthrates. Spengler correctly points out that right now, there's a huge youth bulge - tinder for a long, rolling conflagration that progressively sucks more and more into its furnace. After that? Birthrates that are fast approaching the West, in one of the most dramatic free-falls in human history.

That shouldn't breed complacency, as this configuration is pretty much an ideal set up for a "conquer (and force reproduction) or die" imperative. But, as with Ebola, the Left can only help import the plague up to a point, before the plague becomes part of their brand. The Labour Party sponsored mass-rapes of Rotherham being an initial indicator of the situation - there will be more.

And once counterattacks begin in earnest, these avatars of destroyed and destroying beliefs are always more vulnerable than you'd think. Which is why the gut-level push for people in politics who will FIGHT is exactly the right instinct.

    Have hope. Aure entuluva.

Greenfielld should go to Saudi Arabia, if they start to let Jews into the country. What he would find is that all he wrote about in his article is true. But the country is much more complex than a bunch of fanatic Wahabis. Many Saudis, in fact, hate their backward vision of the world. There always seems to be this odd dance of libralization and strictly enforced Islam. Many Saudis who were "good" muslims by following the prayer ritual and fasting and some that were not so good by praying only when they were ovserved by their peers, they often told me that this is not true Islam. But there you have it the leader of "true" Islam tells us what is true. Saudi Arabia is a wonderful and confusing place to live for an outsider, But really let's not get into the religious stuff if you want to enjoy yourself. Although I believe Islam is a barbaric religion/ideology/philosophy, human history was one where children were treated like dogs and sold as slaves or married at young ages to perpetuate the monarchy or the tribal lord's rule.

Of course today in Western countries, the unborn are, of course, treated as though they aren't human and have no rights while being slaves to another kind of barbaric ideology/philosophy we know as liberalism. They are also considered as commodities where adults who want them believe they have a right to have them and certainly many are sold as sexual slaves and used by adults for sexual gratification and abused in all kinds of horrific ways.

We have no moral authority to find the practice of the Islamic world of marrying off nine year olds when we use and abuse children, kill them without thought, and indoctrinate them into becoming slaves to the state.

  51. My country lay within a vast desert. When the sun rose into the sky, a burning wind punished my lands, searing the world. And when the moon climbed into the dark of night, a frigid gale pierced our homes. No matter when it came the wind carried the same thing... Death. But the winds that blew across the green fields of Hyrule brought something other than suffering and ruin. I coveted that wind, I suppose.

  52. Great as always, Daniel. Thanks for writing excellent articles, for us to share whenever possible, to raise awareness to the evil of the Islamic ideology. Please don't stop!

I suppose Mustafa has a rationale for the intolerance which had made it so there are no official churches in Saudi Arabia. And there are no local christians save those on temporary working visas. Perhaps tolerance is something different altogether to Mustafa's people.

Mustafa: "We are the most persecuted of all people on the world".

I myself persecuted many by referring to a muslim as a "moosie" or a mohammedan. "Moosie" began as a potential term of endearment, something the locals do to any and all ethnic groups including ourselves. But the moosies took offense and now, I suppose we "aussies" are persecutors of Mustafa's folks.

So Mustafa, if you promise not to support regimes that behead, rape and murder, I'll do my best to stop persecuting your people.

  55. Mustafa: ISIS and people like you are the best friends the west could have. Like your colleagues in ISIS, you cannot help but show the world what islam is really about. In attempting to defend your horrid, barbaric religion, you make it possible for the effete leftectuals among us to finally see the light. The tide is slowly turning.

Finally, major media figure tells the truth about Islam. If there ever was another word for "Evil", "Islam" is it.

You are deeply deluded my friend.
Muslim history is one of murder and rape and plundering over 1400 years.
Basically they make the Nazis, Pol Pot and other murderous regimes look like boy scouts.
In India alone they invaded and killed at least 40 to 50 million Hindus (thats a conservative estimate) they smashed temples, burnt books, forced Hindus to eat meat and raped woman...as they do also today.
The sufferings of people during such battles as the battle of Tallikota when Hampi, the capital of Vijayanagara empire was systematically destroyed for weeks by the muslim Bahamain sultans. Nadir Shah made a mountain of the skulls of the Hindus he killed in Delhi alone!!
And thats just India!! They commited atrocities in many lands for 1400 years.
And you say "unworthy of my time but yet I take the time to enlighten you"
Newsflash...First of all the arrogance you display is so typical of fantatics, Nazis were like that too.
Who the hell are you to enlighten anyone?
You could stat by trying to enlighten yourself...1st lesson for you.
Surrender to God is voluntary and up to the individual, but your murderous regime does not even realize that, force people and they will eventually resent you, because god gave us all free will, now I know thats a concept thats probably foreign to you and I know you will have difficulty grasping that, but I can tell you this you will never know enlightenment, spirituality or anything else until you grasp this first lesson, now go back to your books and feel saved, feel special, but all you will ever really have is arrogance and ignorance...but how does that saying go?
Birds of a feather flock together, so stay with Islam you are in like minded company!!

  58. I have been assured by many of our leading intellects, politicians, and entertainers that the Mufti is correct: a girl (or boy) ten yeas of age is capable of fulling all duties of a sexual partner.

Must I list all the pedophile scandals of the last thirty years to demonstrate this? And how many times the rich and powerful escaped prosecution? Or the academic papers which prove “loving" children is good for children? Or the number of public supporters of NAMBLA and their prideful participation in public ceremonies and their honoring by various societies (e.g., SFWA & Delany; anyone and Ginsburg)?

The advocacy of communism, homosexuality, and pedophilia are tightly bound in our society and are widely tolerated.

The West will be unable to defend itself against Islam’s sexualities until it corrects its own house.

Stupid Mustafa. Islam is a Death Cult, it has no culture and it does not crate anything of any value. But keep whining that you are the victims. There is particular breed of predators that resemble you and your Islam perfectly.

Maybe Mustafa is a parody, maybe not. You can't really tell, that's the whole point.

  61. Islamists know that they cannot enjoy complete cultural dominance over their own people until their rivals in the West are obliterated.

This is the key to understanding the insane Western left. Every lie must have at least a tiny grain of truth, and the fact is that at least in the '80's or slightly later, there was still a lot of sense in the idea that exposure to the West's materialistic life would pull the rug out from under the Moslem establishment as their youth would rebel and become secular. As you state, the Moslem leaders themselves are quite aware of this danger to their plan, and, 30 years ago at least, no one could have been sure that they would dodge this bullet.

The derangement of the left is only that they refuse to see that this strategy has failed utterly and that Islam is marching triumphantly into their gates.

But is Christianity any different? They also did a huge number of forcible conversions and pogroms. True, today they are relatively quiet, but they have had a 600 year lead over Islam. And even though today they are not capable (in most countries) of forcing conversions, perhaps the conditions in France (e.g) might be examined. As a Jew, I am just as wary of a Christian as I am of a Muslim.

Irwin Ruff, If you truly distrust Christians, perhaps you could cite examples of why they have caused you to feel this way. Sometimes a defensive attitude is a turn off to people of good will.

Imo, it is easier to grapple with the evils of Islam if one views it as a savage, expansionist political movement.
Many of us are so prone to viewing 'religion' through a soft and complimentary lens, regardless of our personal beliefs, that calling Islam a 'religion' gives it a subtle benefit of the doubt, that is almost wholly underserved.

  67. Your scenario is basically correct but, your history is somewhat skewed.
You've got the right idea but, Saudi Arabia most definitely - factually; historically; provably - does NOT practice "Islam in its purest and truest form."
The Wahhabist heresy, as I am sure you are aware, was invented about 300 years ago.
The ruling Muslims of the day - the Ottomans and Egypt almost successfully tried to wipe this heresy out!
The various Muslim empires have always been striven by civil sectarian wars where the new Islamists on the block tried to impose a Bigger Better much more Barbaric version of Their Islam on the Old Islam.
Islam, like all other cultures, has a history of the Establishment trying to wipe out the upstart sects.
With the end of the Ottomans, al Saud was able to establish the Wahhabist heresy which has replaced normative Sunni Islam.
This began a sectarian civil war that is ongoing over which of the bastard offspring of Wahhabism will gain dominance - OVER other Muslims.
The wars against "the West;" Israel; Christians; etc., are all just collateral damage and "street cred" for whatever faction can claim to do the most damage to the "Far Enemy" for the main purpose of dominating the "Near Enemy," Muslims.

  68. I don't want to get into extended theological debate over someone else's religion, but the bottom line is that the more objectionable elements of Wahhabism, from our perspective, date back to Mohammed, regardless of what the Ottomans thought

    ReplyDelete
  69. I understand. However, there is always a difference between "belief" and practice. Or between words and actions.
Every religion and culture has their "scriptures" were have been, at various times, interpreted to mean "be brutally savage towards those NOT of our religion or culture."
If the rest of the world focused on having the Saudis reinterpret; modify; and/or abrogate Wahhabism to an earlier practice of Islam that did not promote the cutting off of heads and the slaughter of innocents, the rest of the Islamist terrorists would have their legs cut out from under them.
If al Saud joined forces with al Sissi and questioned the basic death cult premises of today's Islamists (Wahhabists), the world would change.

  71. Brilliant article. As to Mustapha _ if he actually believes all the baloney he spouts, I'm not sure whether to pity him or have him arrested for crimes against humanity. Those who wander the Earth spreading lies such as "Islam is good","Islam honors women","Muslims are the world's most persecuted people", "Islam is tolerant", "Islam is peaceful",etc. should be treated as traitors to the human race. They have parted company with all sense and decency.
